Created almost a century ago, Russian martial art SAMBO has embodied in itself the diversified ways of various traditional martial arts and has emerged in its own rights, as one of the most effective martial arts in the world.

SAMBO is also a fast developing sport in the world and several million people from over 70 countries comprehend breath and practice this unique, fascinating and multi-disciplined activity.

A life long journey, multi-faceted SAMBO engages children, men and women from 5 years to 80 years in, physical & mental development, personal protection, high achievement in amateur & professional sport and protection of state interests.

And all these people are united by the philosophy of SAMBO based on justice, respect, strength of body and spirit. This philosophy allows SAMBO fighters not only to become presidents of countries, generals, academicians and well-known actors, but the most importantly - to become gracious citizens of the world, conducting their businesses and lives with honor, contributing positively towards society.

The primary goal of ASF and this website is not only the development of SAMBO, but also to provide a bridge between nations and cultures in one of the most populated and diverse continents, representing more than 3 billion people from 45 countries of Asia.
